About BPCS

After several years of informal activities of the Bangladeshi Hindu community living in Queensland, Australia, the The Bangladesh Puja & Cultural Society Inc. (BPCS) was formally established on 8th September 2006 in Queensland. The BPCS is a non-political and non-profit cultural organisation, run by the Bangladesh descent Hindu Community in Brisbane, Queensland.

Key objectives of the Association are as follows:

  • To promote Bengali values and culture among families, children and the generation.
  • To uphold the values of the Hindu (Sonaton) religion, its ideology and concepts.
  • To organise related religious and cultural activities.
  • To promote “help consciousness”, bring harmonisation, and improve social bondage and communication amongst the members of the Association.
  • To strengthen cultural ties and friendship between the Australian and the members of the Association.
  • To promote cultural exchange with any other groups, organizations or institutions interested in Bengali culture.
  • To foster mutual respect and awareness among the members of different faiths.
